Description

Session Overview:

This 60-minute session will be comprised of a 10-15 minute introduction to ACI 562, followed by a 45-minute moderated panel discussion.

The presentation will introduce the audience to ACI 562, providing a history and purpose of the code, how the code impacts various stakeholders in the concrete repair industry and what stakeholders can do to assist in adoption efforts on a local and national level.

Once the introduction is completed, the moderator will present pre-submitted and live questions from the virtual audience to a panel of various experienced stakeholders from the industry, including Specifiers, Contractors, Manufacturer/Distributor, and Owners. These questions will allow each stakeholder to present their perspective(s) on the code, and their varying opinions will spark an engaging conversation.

Participants are encouraged to submit questions prior to the event by emailing ICRI Technical Director Dave Fuller at davef@icri.org, but they can also ask at any time during the discussion.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Explain the overall objective of the concrete repair code.
  2. Provide better understanding about what the ACI 562 code does, and how it changes practice.
  3. Learn how the repair code impacts the various stakeholders within the industry from examples provided by those stakeholders.
  4. Provide clarity for some of the most common misconceptions of the code
