This 60-minute session will be comprised of a 10-15 minute introduction to ACI 562, followed by a 45-minute discussion by a moderated panel of various experienced stakeholders in the concrete repair industry, including Specifiers, Contractors, Manufacturer/Distributors, and Owners.
We will provide a brief presentation on the AET team, the AET services and business, how we operate as a team and perform our testing services, and what benefits we can provide our customers. We strive to get to know our clients well, educate them, and provide innovative, multi-disciplinary, and personalized service.
Three precision epoxy grouts: E3-Deep Pour, E3-Xtreme and E3-Flowable will be demonstrated. These products are precision grouts used to support equipment and machinery in demanding environments. The demonstration will explain why and where epoxy grouts are used, how they are tested, project preparation, mixing and application, and other considerations. The features and benefits of each product will be described, and newly patented dust-limiting aggregate technology will be introduced.
Demonstration will show what an acceptable CMU substrate for application of air barrier materials looks like, how to prepare Sprayable Cat 5 air barrier coating for application, discuss proper pump specifications for spraying the material, and demonstrate best practices for spraying Sprayable Cat 5, a Silyl-Terminated Polymer air barrier to a CMU substrate, while providing “tips & tricks” along the way.
The recommended application methods utilized to successfully install Pecora Deck HB1000, a two-part polyurethane traffic coating, will be demonstrated. Demonstration and discussion will include primers, waterproofing base coats, and high-build, UV resistant topcoat.
The Ituango dam is an embankment dam that is currently under construction on the Cauca River in Colombia. The largest hydroelectric power plant in Colombia’s history. Three large diversion tunnels used to divert the water from the river around the construction site during construction collapsed as a result of heavy rainfalls. The nearly completed pump house had to be flooded to accommodate premature water build-up in the reservoir. These tunnels would need to be permanently sealed. “Pre-stoppers” would need to be constructed in place to serve as bulk heads between which would ultimately be excavated and back-filled with concrete to permanently seal the tunnels. Additional to standard anti-washout properties, the grout had to withstand swiftly flowing water and exhibit an extended working time at temperatures above 32 degrees C. A custom grout was developed for this application. In the end, hundreds of grout micropiles were tremied, consuming more than 1,650 tons of grout, to produce...
Demonstration will show Schönox AP Rapid Plus poured over Schönox Renotex® 3D Glass Fiber Reinforcement fabric that makes up our Renotex® 3D Renovation System. It is designed to create a new substrate for subsequent floor covering installation. Schönox AP Rapid Plus is a pumpable self-leveling compound designed for deep pour, fast-track installations on most substrates in interior areas. It is built with Hybrid Active-Dry Technology, which means that ambient air temperature and humidity have no effect on curing times. This technology is the culmination of Schönox’s extensive research in this area to develop products with fast strength and drying characteristics with minimal shrinkage or expansion. Combined, the Schönox Renotex® 3D System is strong, versatile, and durable.
