110.1R-2026 - Guide Specifications for Structural Concrete Repair: Section 030130

The recently approved revision of the ICRI 110.1 Guide Specification significantly updates industry guidance by incorporating comprehensive requirements for shotcrete placement throughout the document, including references to ACI SPEC 506.2, material and testing requirements, mixture design guidance, and qualifications for ACI-Certified Shotcreters. The revision also strengthens quality assurance by expanding contractor and foreman qualification recommendations, including completion of the ICRI Concrete Surface Repair Technician (CSRT) Level 1 program for designated Concrete Repair Foremen and requiring their direct supervision of repair work. In addition, preconstruction meeting requirements now include participation by the cathodic protection anode manufacturer and the project safety supervisor to improve coordination and project execution. Together with numerous technical refinements and clarifications developed through the ICRI 110 Committee's consensus process, these updates provide designers and specifiers with a more comprehensive and current framework for producing high-quality concrete repair specifications.
