Program Description

Recertification allows the examinee to access the CSRT Education Program (Mods 1-5) for course review prior to taking the recertification exam. (See below)
For the recertification exam, you get only one (1) attempt. If you fail the exam, you must purchase the recertification re-examination.
By passing the online recertification exam or re-examination, an ICRI Concrete Surface Repair Technician—Grade 1 certification will be issued by ICRI, and the individual will receive a new certificate and wallet card.
The individual can also be added to the ICRI Certified Concrete Surface Repair Technician database on the ICRI website if desired.

The online recertification exam and re-examination is based on the Education Program and the following four (4) ASTM Standards, including all Annexes and Appendices, and ICRI Guidelines:

  • C31, Standard Practice for Making and Curing Concrete Test Specimens in the Field;

  • C143, Standard Test Method for Slump of Hydraulic-Cement Concrete;

  • C1583, Standard Test Method for Tensile Strength of Concrete Surfaces and the Bond Strength or Tensile Strength of Concrete Repair and Overlay Materials by Direct Tension (Pull-off Method);

  • C1611, Standard Test Method for Slump Flow of Self-Consolidating Concrete; and

  • ICRI Guideline No. 210.3R, Guide for Using In-Situ Tensile Pull-off Tests to Evaluate Concrete Surface Repairs and Bonded Overlays.

ICRI Concrete Surface Repair Technician Certification, Grade I, is valid for a period of five (5) years from the date of completion and passing of all applicable recertification requirements.
