Ken Lozen FICRI FACI

Ken Lozen is the Technical Director of the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI), starting in August 2013. As Technical Director, Ken oversees the technical aspects of ICRI; provides technical support to the board, committees and members; is responsible for reviewing/approving technical articles for ICRI’s Concrete Repair Bulletin (CRB); and assists with speaker selection and the coordination of technical presentations and product demonstrations at ICRI Conventions, and the development and implementation of certification programs/education products and other technical offerings.
Prior to ICRI Technical Director, Ken was a Principal Engineer/Associate for NTH Consultants, Ltd in Michigan. He has over 35 years of experience in restoration engineering and consulting, construction materials quality control, concrete technology and troubleshooting, project management and litigation, and structural rehabilitation.
Ken is a founding member and original Treasurer of ICRI. He is an ICRI Fellow and has served on many ICRI committees, including the ICRI Technical Activities Committee (TAC), and the ICRI Board. Ken is also a Fellow of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and serves on several ACI Committees, including ACI 546 Repair, ACI 563 Specifications for the Repair of Structural Concrete in Buildings, and E706 Concrete Repair Education. He also served on the ACI Greater Michigan Chapter board for 26 years.
Ken has received several awards and has authored articles on repair, restoration, demolition, and maintenance of concrete structures. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Detroit, Detroit, Michigan.
