Description
April is National Alcohol Awareness Month. Approximately 10% of all Americans aged 18 and older report alcohol use disorder. It is estimated that approximately two-thirds are of working age and in the workplace. The construction industry workforce reports a high prevalence of heavy and binge drinking, and alcohol use disorder. It is well established that less than 10% of people who need help for substance use receive help. Generational differences in attitudes toward drinking alcohol make this an opportune time to share recovery resources with employees and families.
