SAFE Project

Sydney Cheifetz, MPH is Director of Recovery at SAFE Project since October 2025. From August 2022 through 2025 she served as Deputy Director of SAFE Campuses, where she led the Collegiate Recovery Leadership Program. Sydney is an experienced public health specialist, health educator, and a credentialed Recovery Coach. As a health promotion and public health educator, Cheifetz focuses on amplifying the multiple pathways of recovery. She is increasingly collaborating on strategies and practices to support recovery in workplaces.
