The Education Course is for everyone who desires fundamental knowledge and best practices on concrete surface repair and requires participation in five (5) online training modules and graded exams, with each module incorporating education and training with questions. Those who successfully complete this program, including passing all five (5) online training modules and exams, will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ICRI.
The Certification course, ICRI Concrete Surface Repair Technician—Grade 1, is for individuals who want to become a qualified inspector for concrete repair and qualifies the individual to perform pre- and post-placement inspections and testing.
The Certification course, ICRI Concrete Surface Repair Technician—Grade 1, is for individuals who want to become a qualified inspector for concrete repair and qualifies the individual to perform pre- and post-placement inspections and testing. It includes the Education Course — five (5) online training modules and graded exams, an online knowledge exam and a performance exam (Video submission is included in course fee. When available, on-location live performance exam for an additional fee). By passing the five (5) online training modules and exams, the online knowledge exam, and performance exam, an ICRI Concrete Surface Repair Technician—Grade 1 certification will be issued by ICRI, and the individual will receive a certificate and wallet card. The individual can also be added to the ICRI Certified Concrete Surface Repair Technician database on the ICRI website if desired.
Module 1 covers the introduction to the program and discusses the definition of reinforced concrete and common types of reinforced concrete deterioration, focusing on deterioration resulting from embedded metal corrosion and its effect on existing structures. The process leading to reinforcing steel corrosion is further discussed, including the effects of chlorides, carbonation and access to the reinforcing steel (including cracks and joints, low quality concrete, and reduced concrete cover).
This option is available for those who purchased the Certification course and completed the training Modules 1-5 and the knowledge exam — but failed one or more of the tests in the performance exam.
This upgrde option is available for those who purchased the Education Coure of the CSRT program, and are looking to upgrade to the full certification program. This product includes the knowledge exam and the performance exam portions, but does NOT include the education. The education course is a prerequisite for completing this course. you will not be able to launch it until the education course is completed.
This session will describe the use of tensile pull-off (bond) testing for concrete repairs and bonded overlays. It will provide guidance on applications of the test, industry standards and guidelines, acceptance criteria, proper testing procedures, appropriate equipment, and interpretation and reporting of test results. Bond is important because it relates to structural requirements (e.g. for strengthening and structural repairs) and for durability requirements (e.g. for overlays and cosmetic repairs). Testing of bond is needed to verify that the specified bond requirements have been met and a satisfactory result has been obtained.
